Dr. Elaine Phillips has a B.A. from Cornell University and a M. Div. from Biblical Theological Seminary. After receiving her M.A. from the Jerusalem University College she has taught there during short term programs for many years. She received her Ph. D. from The Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning, and is a Professor of Old Testament at Gordon College, Wenham, MA where she has taught for almost two decades. She has published several books including, An Introduction to Reading Wisdom Texts, a book on Old Testament Prayers co-edited with Phil Comfort, and a commentary Obadiah, Jonah and Micah in the Apollos OT Commentary Series among others. She also regularly teaches at the Jerusalem University College.
