Dr. Tremper Longman III (Ph.D. Yale University) taught for many years at
Westminster Seminary and then for almost two decades as the Distinguished
Scholar of Biblical Studies at Westmont College. He has written over 30
books including commentaries on Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of
Songs, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Daniel, and Nahum as well as a major
Introduction to the Old Testament. In addition, he was a translator of the New
Living Translation and has edited and contributed to a number of Study Bibles
and Bible Dictionaries. This series is based on his book, God is a Warrior,
published by Zondervan.
