          DASV: Revelation 5

1 Now I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne,
a scroll written on the front and back, sealed with seven seals.
2 Then I saw a mighty angel announcing with a loud voice,
"Who is worthy to open the scroll and to break its seals?"
3 But no one in the heaven or on the earth or under the earth
was able to open the scroll or to look in it.
4 So I wept bitterly, because no one was found worthy to open
the scroll or to look in it.
5 Then one of the elders said to me, "Stop weeping. Look,
the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has
been victorious. He can open the scroll and its seven seals."
6 Then I saw in between the throne and the four living creatures,
and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though
it had been slaughtered. He had seven horns and seven eyes,
which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
7 He came and took it out of the right hand of the one sitting
on the throne.
8 When he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and
the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one
had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the
prayers of the saints.
9 They sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the
scroll and to open its seals, for you were slaughtered and
with your blood you purchased for God people from every
tribe and language, people and nation.
10 You made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and
they will reign on the earth."
11 Then I looked and heard a voice of many angels around the
throne and the living creatures and the elders; they
numbered ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands
of thousands,
12 saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was
slaughtered to receive power and riches, and wisdom, and
might and honor, and glory, and blessing."
13 Then I heard every created thing in the heaven, and on
the earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and everything
in them, saying, "To the one seated on the throne, and to
the Lamb, be blessing, and honor, and glory, and power,
forever and ever."
14 Then the four living creatures said, "Amen," and the
elders fell down and worshipped.
