          DASV: Revelation 3

1 "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write:
These things says he who has the seven spirits of God and
the seven stars. I know your works, that you have a name
that you are alive, but you are dead.
2 Wake up, and strengthen what remains which is about ready to
die, for I have not found your works complete before my God.
3 Remember therefore what you have received and heard; and hold
it tight and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come
like a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come
against you.
4 But you have a few names in Sardis who have not defiled their
garments. They will walk with me in white because they are
worthy.
5 The one who is victorious will be clothed like them in
white garments; and I will not blot his name out of the
book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father
and before his angels.
6 The one who has ears needs to hear what the Spirit says
to the churches."

7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
These things says the holy one, the true one, who has
the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and
who shuts and no one opens.
8 I know your works. Look, I have set before you an open door,
which no one can shut. You have little strength, yet you have
kept my word and have not denied my name.
9 Look, I will make those from the synagogue of Satan, who say
they are Jews but are not, but lie, come and bow down at
your feet, and they will know that I have loved you.
10 Because you kept my word of patient endurance, I also
will keep you from the hour of trial, that is coming on the
whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
11 I am coming quickly. Hold tight to what you have, so that
no one may take your crown.
12 The one who is victorious, I will make a pillar in the
temple of my God, and he will never have to leave and I will
write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of
my God--the new Jerusalem, that is coming down out of heaven
from my God--and also my own new name.
13 The one who has ears needs to hear what the Spirit says to
the churches."

14 "And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness,
the beginning of God's creation.
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold or hot. I wish
that you were either cold or hot.
16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot or cold, I
will spit you out of my mouth.
17 Because you claim, 'I am rich, I have acquired riches and I
need nothing.' Yet you do not realize that you are wretched,
pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.
18 I advise you to buy gold refined by fire from me, so that
you may in fact become rich. Buy white garments so that you
may dress yourself, and so that the shame of your nakedness
will not be exposed, and buy salve to put on your eyes,
so that you may see.
19 Those whom I love, I correct and discipline. So be eager
and repent.
20 Look, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears
my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him,
and will have dinner with him, and he with me.
21 The one who is victorious, I will give permission to
sit down with me on my throne, as I also was victorious,
and sat down with my Father on his throne.
22 The one who has ears needs to hear what the Spirit
says to the churches."
