          DASV: Titus 3

1 Remind them to submit to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient,
ready to do what is good.
2 Do not slander anyone, avoid quarreling, be gentle,
showing humility toward all.
3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived,
serving all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived
in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.
4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared,
5 he saved us, not because of works of righteousness, which
we had done, but according to his mercy, through the washing
of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
6 whom he richly poured out upon us, through Jesus Christ our
Savior;
7 so that, being justified by his grace, we might be made
heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8 This saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on
these things so that those who have believed God may be
careful to do good works. These things are excellent and
profitable for all.
9 But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, arguments,
and quarrels about the law; for they are unprofitable and
worthless.
10 After giving a first and second warning to a divisive person,
have nothing to do with him.
11 Know that such a person is perverted, and sinful, being
self-condemned.
12 When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, do your best
to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend
the winter there.
13 Do everything you can to speed Zenas, the lawyer, and
Apollos on their way. Give them everything they need.
14 And let our people devote themselves to do good works to
meet any urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.
15 All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us
in faith. Grace be with all of you.
