          DASV: Psalm 65

For the music director, a psalm of David, a song

1 Praise is due you, O God, in Zion;
     to you vows will be completed.
2 O you who hears prayer,
     to you all flesh will come.
3 When issues of sin prevail against me,
     you forgive our rebellions.
4 Blessed is the one you choose and bring near
     that he may dwell in your courts.
      We will be satisfied with the goodness of your house,
          your holy temple.

5 With incredible righteous deeds you answer us,
     God of our salvation;
      you are the hope of all the ends of the earth
     and the distant seas.
6 By your strength you established the mountains,
     having clothed yourself with might.
7 You still the raging seas,
     the roaring of their waves,
           and the rumble of the peoples.
8 Even those who dwell in the remotest regions
     are awed by your wondrous deeds;
      from where the sun rises to where it sets
     you cause shouts of amazement.

9 You visit the earth and water it;
          you greatly enrich it.
      The river of God is full of water;
          you provide them with grain,
           for this is the way you have ordered it.
10 You abundantly water its plowed furrows;
     you level its ridges;
      you soften it with showers;
     you bless its sprouts.
11 You crown the year with your goodness;
      your worn paths overflow with bounty.
12 The pastures of the wilderness drip;
     the hills are dressed with joy.
13 The meadows are clothed with flocks;
     the valleys also are covered with grain;
           they shout for joy, yes they sing.
