          DASV: Numbers 12

1 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite
woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite.
2 They said, "Has the LORD spoken only through Moses? Has he
not also spoken through us?" And the LORD heard it.
3 Now the man Moses was very humble, more so than anyone on
the face of the earth.
4 So the LORD spoke immediately to Moses, Aaron and Miriam,
"You three come out to the Tent of Meeting." So the three
of them came out.
5 Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood
at the entrance of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam;
and they both came forward.
6 He said, "Listen now to my words: if there is a prophet
among you, I the LORD will make myself known to him in a vision,
I will speak with him in a dream.
7 But it is not like this with my servant Moses; he is the
one I trust of anyone in my house.
8 With him I speak face to face, openly, and not in riddles;
and he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not
afraid to speak against my servant Moses?"
9 Then the anger of the LORD burned against them, and he departed.

10 When the cloud lifted from over the Tent; Miriam was leprous,
white as snow. Then Aaron turned towards Miriam and saw
that she was leprous.
11 Then Aaron said to Moses, "O my lord, please do not punish
us for this sin that we have committed so foolishly.
12 Do not let her become like a stillborn baby, whose
flesh is half eaten away when it comes from its mother's womb."
13 So Moses cried to the LORD, "Heal her, O God, I beg you."
14 Then the LORD said to Moses, "If her father had spit
in her face, would she not be disgraced seven days?
Let her be shut up outside the camp for seven days,
and after that she may be brought in again."
15 So Miriam was shut up outside the camp for seven days,
and the people did not move on until Miriam was brought
back in.
16 After that the people journeyed from Hazeroth,
and camped in the wilderness of Paran.
